Born in Geldrop (The Netherlands) on November 3, 1964, after graduating with a degree in Economics and Commerce from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, he gained managerial experience in various sectors of strategic consultancy, telecommunications and transport, in companies such as Siemens, DHL and Ferrovie dello Stato. He then moved into the banking sector, launching Webank, which he headed for 13 years. He was founder, CEO and General Manager of Widiba (online bank of the Montepaschi di Siena Group) and member of the Board of Directors of the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation and the Piccolo Teatro Foundation in Milan. Today he sits on several Boards of Directors where he serves as Director and/or Advisor.
